Is it possible to estimate what upgrades or renovations, if any, would help sell a home before you spend money on it? If a home looks older, tired, or dated compared to similar homes (for sale or not) nearby, buyers might not even make an offer or low-ball an offer. Sellers either lower prices…again…and the home sits on the market…even longer…while other homes are selling, possibly at fair market value or receive multiple offers. Buyers look at kitchens and baths and either 1) be relieved that they don’t have to gut them or 2) start counting up the dollar signs!
